We're in the process of updating our release documents and creating a simple rental agreement.
I have some questions:
do you have both, rental agreement and release documents?
do you have everyone that comes on the place sign?
would that include vet and shoer?
Thanks

When I managed a facility we had every person sign a release regardless if they touched the horses. Yes, that included vets and farriers.

The guy I board with had everyone who comes on property sign a release. Friends, visitors, farrier.

Our boarding contract includes a release. Anyone who will be riding signs a release. We have not had farriers, vets or chiros sign.

Have a sign in sheet for all new visitors with your release printed at the top ...
name, date and time in on visitor list ... each page contains room for 20+ names .. make you one with your word processor and keep in 3 ring binder at your barn entry .. with extra copies and print out new ones if needed during the year ..
States have liability signs and words you can put on list and also hang on walls or front gate, arena etc ...
these are well respected by courts too ...
