Thanks for the info. Was there a noticable difference after the injection? Do you know how they detemined this was the issue with your friend's horse? |

Location: Who knows... :) | I had my mare injected- it helped for a few days then she was back to her prior level of function. The vet said surgery was the next route, but if she maintains her weight (she's huge) and isn't uncomfortable in general, just to leave her be. It only bugs her when she eats, head is sideways and she's slow to eat her grain. We wet it down and she's maintained her weight.. So no surgery for us yet. |

When you are doing your dental work, are you able to tell when a horse is needing some help in that area? I have always meant to ask my guy if he sees many that he thinks might benefit from injections....you don't hear much about it. |

My vet, dental man was who noticed it first. We waited and thought about it. And he is not the type to jump on any gimicks or make extra money on me. Just a good honest man. Granted he said it was a long shot. So after a while to think about it- we tried it. I think it helped. |

| My mare has TMJ. I keep her adjusted and have acupunctured her. I have not opted to inject her. I have a headstall that is on a loomis that is metal and hits pressure points. I had a hard time with teeth grinding, gaping mouth and head shaking until this bridle. |

Location: Always in the Jungle of Ohio | I have a horse with this issue. Keeping his teeth floated every 3-4 months has helped him GREATLY. Do not use a power float, use hand tools. My boy grows his teeth in waves, so keeping them straighter, removing all ridges, hooks, keeping them flat really helps him. Be sure they are getting all the way to the back molars that set below the eye and TMJ joint. Having your Chiro re-a-line the jaw and keeping it in helps too. Yes, I've had it injected, it did help. It was $100. Bottom line is doing them more offten to not let them get out of balance. |
