I had to make some changes and need to decide today. Which horse will cross best with my daughter of merridoc. She was Bred to run. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cee+the+view . She is Tall and FAST!!! What is going to bring the best Re-sale and the best prospect? or any suggestions for under $3000.

I like the look of both pedigrees, but I, personally, would pick A Streak of Fling if I had to choose.

Both are outstanding sires! Either one has great re-sell. It would come down to your mares conformation. If she is long bodied at all, then Frenchmans Fabulous would give you the most conformationally correct foal. ASOF is very long, weak in the loin and built down hill.

That is a hard choice...if your mare needs some bone added to her foal, or if she is longer, I would pick Fab, he will throw the bone, and shorten the back up.....but if your mare has near perfect conformation, I would go with ASOF....he is a bit longer, and doesn't have the bone like Fab does, and throws. Both would be a great cross either way!

That being said, if it was me, and I was going to keep it, I would breed to Fab. But if I was to sell it, I would breed to ASOF.

ASOF

I feel he is one of the better values in studs going right now.

ASOF hands down!  Look at the numbers and you will see it is actually pretty hard to even compare the two.  Lots of people mention how long backed ASOF is...well maybe that is the key to shutting off the clock.  They have huge strides, quick feet, know how to use their body...they are athletes.   However, they are not your grandmothers trail pony, and most people will probably do more damage than good on one.

Agree to this!  It's more about conformation at that level, not just papers.  Both stallions have produced winners when crossed on the right mares.
