americanpride08 - 2015-03-24 2:51 PM What bugs me is how the constanly make sexual and alcoholic references. Maybe it's just me, but the older songs either completely lacked those references, or they weren't so blatant. They make it seem ' cool ' ... another peeve... is the constant disrespectful ( IMO ) references to woman.. a good country man respects women. And guess what... all the 'country boys' in my brothers generation are growing up acting out these country songs... it's no wander STDs, childhood pregnancies, DUIs and DUI related accidents are through the roof in our country. /sigh

That song ' Girl In A Country Song'  by maddie & Tae. That one I like. =P but then, it's pretty much a modern country song what for to how the men in the industry address the women now.

I love, love, love their song Fly.  I'm excited to see what's in store for them.  Very talented girls

I cannot stand all the "rapping " or fast talking. .. whatever ..it's stupid. Glad I have satellite I can dial up all the good ol country stations in my pickup but if I'm the barn, I'm at the mercy of the radio station.

I gave up "Country Music" a while ago and have not missed it a day. I love Sirus radio and channel 63 The Message! It's music that's good for your soul! :)

I could not agree more with your sentiments!!!!  Go check out the Texas Country music/ Red Dirt Country music scene ... Bands like the Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Canada and the Departed, Granger Smith, Wade Bowen, Reckless Kelly, Cody Johnson Band, Casey Donahew Band, Corb Lund, Micky and the Motorcars, Kimberly Dunn ..... Seriously great singer songwriters with real talent!

Yep and Chris Knight, Cody Jenks, Bleu Edmundson and I just discovered Lucinda Williams.
