I know someone had this procedure done on their horse and I was wondering how the horse was doing now?  Does anyone know price?

Call and talk to them. They are very knowledge and there is a discount for doing their scheduled ultrasounds to see progress. If they do not think it will work for your horse they will tell you. Ours was a good candidate but he healed on his own and is showing no weakness, so we opted not to be the brace. We have another owner's horse that might be doing the treatment, vet appointment next week will tell if he does.

We had it done on an 18 year old barrel horse. He shredded 85% of his ligament. On the initial ultrasound it looked like Swiss cheese, on the ultrasound performed at 4 months post injection, it looked like a normal ligament with one small lesion. In my opinion, it's the BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!! LOL! Before the Novobrace, the horse had less than 10% chance of ever competing again. Now the vet said we're going to see how it stands up to pressure, but he's thinking it is a possibility. I believe it cost $1200. I'll have to double check.

I'm very interested in this, but not sure if my husbands horse is a canididate??  He strained his front left 2 years ago.  Vet said it was just a slight strain and to put him on stall rest and bring him back 9 months later.  He came back fine not lame, but then reinjuried himself a month later.  This time the ultrasound didn't really show anything.  We ended up doing a nuclear medicine test with showing a slight uptake in his left proximal suspensory.  Vet thought a possible avulsion fracture at the proximal suspensory.  We did 3 rounds of shockwave and we have been hand walking.  I was just curious since we really didn't find a tear if we could even use this treatment.  Other problem is that we live in IL and I don't know of any vets around here that have used this method yet.  All of his care has been done by Purdue Universtiy in Indiania.  He seems sound now, but he isn't released yet to ride.  He is still in a small pen.  He's my husband's heel horse and we love him to death and are hoping he will be able to compete again.

They will ask you to send them a copy of your ultrasounds and let you know if your horses are a good candidate. You must call them to get it shipped to your vet and they will speak with your vet, unless your vet is already doing a study on it.
