Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | Thanks everyone, we both kind of started yesterday, planning on making to the store this weekend to stock up but making due with what I can get in the small town we live in.
I really do not need to lose weight I just want to feel better and have more energy. The SO would like to lose about 15 pounds. We are bound and determined to make this work. |

I'm not sure if I can post the link or not, but next week I'm doing a 5 day clean eating challenge group on Facebook. I'll be posting meal plans and there will be support and suggestions from a few people that have been eating clean for a year or more.
Once I get the meal plans finalized I can post them here too!
I friend requested you...I would be interested in trying the challenge

| The key to eating clean is VEGGIES VEGGIES VEGGIES. =) It's the easiest way for our own bodies to find balance and flush itself consistently/naturally.
Just make sure your veggie portions are bigger than all other portions. I use this website religiously. It has meals, meal plans, calories, grocery list setups. And because I have a windows phone it will sync from my computer to my phone. http://allrecipes.com/ |

| Sometimes its hard to find the ingredients you'll need and they are costly at the grocery store. Check out vita cost.com usually they have BOGO deals plus quoina and chia seeds are cheaper there than anywhere else. Quest bars are cheapest here as well. All fall within clean eating guidelines |

Location: WI | I also picked up a copy of Clean Eating magazine at the store. I'm on week 2 of the menu. Each month has a new menu, recipes and shopping lists which I needed! You can also download them online:

Location: Alberta | Best of luck in transitioning to clean eating, here are my (learned by experience) tips!
a) don't overwhelme yourself, if you need to ease into the transition do that
b) Eat what you LIKE! Don't feel you need to buy every veggie, fruit, low fat whatever. Buy what you know you'll enjoy and actually want to eat ...it shouldn't be a struggle
c) Let your body tell you....for example I can't eat a lot of red meat, so I don't eat it often, which is ironic since we raise beef. Healthy is good but doesn't always mean your body agrees.
d) Google! It's a wonderful thing, since we can search very specifics and recipes will come up, along with great blogs
e) Your not alone when it gets hard, some days will come when you want to consume something you shouldn't. If you want to designate a "cheat meal" once a week it's not terrible. A 80/20 balance is usually manageable with clean eating. Cheat meal can be simple a homemade pizza or pasta!
f) Meal prep! Key factor to clean eating and being prepared at times when your hungry. |

Location: Four Corners Colorado | If you really want to eat clean, nutrient dense food, try finding and a talking to a local farmer. Find one who raises animals and veggies in a way that will produce the food you want. I have raw milk, pastured pork, chickens who are really free range, and grass fed and finished beef that doesn't taste nasty like the "grass fed 'you find at the store. I'm not certified organic but I go beyond the standards of organic.
If you think buying at the store, and going organic is the end all be all you need to talk to a local farmer. :) Ya'll can do better than shopping at the store! Honestly there is nothing better than fresh berries covered in FRESH RAW CREAM and a bit of honey!
Now that I've made my farmer rant please move along and continue with your conversation. |

| paturninburnin89 - 2015-03-31 7:43 PM Good for you!! I eat a lot of veggies with chicken, turkey or fish. Great sweet tooth helper for me is a sweet potatoe with butter and cinnamon and also yogurt. Get creative and have fun with it! Also have 1 cheat meal a week so you stay sane!
Agreed^^ Sweet potatoes and yogurt are my friends when my sweet tooth kicks in! It also helps to have a "cheat" or "free" day ... |
