| What do you all feed everyday on a grainless diet ? I'm ready to ditch the processed feeds , not am curious to what everyone's feeding & for hard keepers too ! I am feeding 6 lbs of equine senior active to mine .. Wanting to get rid of it all together though . I just started feeding alfalfa pellets & beet pulp mixed together .. Trying to figure out a good amount (lb wise ) to feed . They can use some extra lbs right now . They love the beet pulp mix .. & I'm thinking about adding a lb of renew gold . I am shooting for 2 lbs of beet pulp & 4 lbs alfalfa pellets a day , along with 1 lb renew gold.. Then reevaluate there weight in a month or so .. Anyways ! Share with me your programs ! |

| I have a horse that just got scope. Tested grade 2 of 3 for ulcers. I have only been feeding him alfalfa and hay. NO feed! But he has never stopped eating with the uclers, just gets very ill. They said keep him off feed, its better for him.

| I do not feed grain to mine , they get omni cubes(has a small amount oats)good quality hay and renew gold.. They maintain all year long and look and feel great. I had to take them off all grain due to ulcers and it was a journey in itself trying to find the perfect formula that worked for us but I'll tell you the renew has been a lifesaver and the omni cubes take away all my anxieties about not always being able to find consistent quality alfalfa in my area. |

I am thinking about the renew gold! Along with the beet pulp & alfalfa pellets .. & grass hay. That should be enough as far as vitamins & minerals, right ? |

Location: Where I need to be | I feed a pound of renew gold and a couple of pounds of alfalfa pellets. They are also turned out on wheat pasture for 12 hours a day. I tried adding more renew gold and ended up with more horse than I could handle. |

Location: Usually on my horse | I don't feed grain at all. I feed alfalfa all winter, 24/7 grass pasture in the summer. Natural rock and mineral salt block. Never had a skinny horse....horses are healthy...happy and work hard for me.
