ok this is probably a silly question but why do i get dizzy when lunging a horse? lol. am i doing something "wrong" or is that just part of it? i would like to be able to lunge my horse some nights that i don't have time to saddle up and ride but i always get dizzy and just feel plain silly doing it. i'm not worried about doing it "perfect" but i would like to be comfortable while exercising him. ok go ahead and laugh at me then offer advice please. lol

Are you lunging in a round pen are on a lunge line? In a round pen I would just stand there while lunging my horse didnt keep turing circles with them but ever few rounds now on a lunge line yept I would get dizzy most of the time.

I keep my eyes on the horses hip. This usually keeps me from getting dizzy on the lunge line.

Sometimes while on a line I would pass the line between my hands behind my back when I started to get dizzy so I would not have to turn with my horse.

I lunge a lot. If you keep your eyes on their hip or shoulder and walk with them, it tends to stop the dizziness. If you watch/follow them go without concentrating on a particular point, it will get you dizzy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, but I have no advice. I'm no good at lunging, so I only do it if I absolutely have to.

Dont stand in center.. walk and move toward horse  a few steps as he is moveing along and that will also make the circle bigger and not so round .. its better for their joints anyway..

This! and if you still get dizzy, keep glancing outside, like look at a tree or building far away.

I usually just look in one direction and pass the line behind me.  I understand your dizziness.
