Location: Lost in the swamps | Make sure it gives a full discription of the item. Including that all parts are in good useable condition, (nothing broken like the tree or finders) and make sure the invoice does NOT say gift! If you have to file a report it could take longer for you if you have to file a case report. |

Location: Southern Oregon | Just make sure you have seen a million pictures and you are sure of the condition. I bought a nice saddle here a while back and the girls didn't disclose that it had been altered for more of a forward hung stirrup. I really wish I would of know that, might have changed my mind. Also discuss shipping before you pay. Make sure you are both on the same page as to when and how it will ship. It also took her almost two weeks to ship it, because after I paid she decided she didn't know if she liked the paypal thing. It was a headache. I have sold several saddles using paypal and nothing ever went wrong. Other then with one saddle and the post office losing it for about two and a half weeks, luckily the buyer was awesome and completely understood that it wasn't my fault. Took a lot of calling, but I finally got it tracked down and too her. |

Location: TX | See if you know someone who can recommend or knows the seller. I've sold two saddle via paypal and they were both under $550. All other saddles I've sold were either Caldwell or Larry Coats saddles and they have all sent me checks/money orders and NO problems. Same goes with me buying saddles, only bought one via paypal, just because that is all the seller would take, I felt bad when she figured out how much they charged her.
There are alot of scam artists out there now days though, but alot of great people as well. |

Location: Nebraska | ditto to what everyone else said and make sure you don't have a limit on your card. My bank puts a limit on my card and if anyone tries to buy anything over said limit it won't go through. I had a person sell a saddle from under me because of that. They had told me they would wait for lunch for me to call my bank and didn't. I had the money in my account but couldn't figure out why it wouldn't go through! |

If they mention to gift it, laugh and run away. Unless you actually know them. Otherwise, only do payments with an INVOICE. No requests. No you sending it as a good. And make sure that description area is filled in full.
I've had good luck with the ones I've bought and sold. |

| I've had nothing but good experiences.
Lots of pictures. Invoice only. Make sure they are over 18.
That last one is important. Facebook stalk them a little. I've never bought from anyone younger but I've gotten the runaround on a couple sales from gals who were obviously committing to something that they then had to go to mommy and daddy to get paid for and mommy and daddy nixed the idea. Could have sold the saddle 3x's in the time it took her to figure here crap out. |
