I've treated for ulcers, done a powerpac a month ago and increased feed and started including some senior feed. She still is thinner than I would like, not full through her flank, and her hair is rough with the head of her tail fluffed up. Just gave her some ivermectin wormer today as part of my regular worming schedule.

I just want her to put on some weight and have a healthier coat appearance.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had her on Nutrena Perform till last Oct and switched her to Lonestar Super Glo 2 cause the Nutrena has 14% protein and she's HOT enough without the extra protein. I have an older horse too and am mixing some of his Nutrena Senior in with her feed to try and boost her weight but she isn't blooming like I want her to. Tried to upload a picture but it won't let me

There is a LOT going on with feeds right now. I suggest you search for the "Is your horse feed safe" threads on here. I've pulled mine off Nutrena and switched to Bluebonnet

She's not in horrible condition, but she's also not "fat and happy" either even with all the grass we have coming up in E TX. She's just still thinner in her ribs and gut and flanks than I would rather see.

Are you feeding alfalfa? I had a hardkeeper. I switched him off of processed foods to Purina enrich (2lbs a day )a cup of oil and alfalfa only. He blossomed!! The best he's ever looked. He is also more focused and less hot.

Alfalfa may help. even just getting the pellets and soaking them and then adding her grain to that twice a day. Have you had any blood work done on her?

You need a digestive supplement to get her gut stimulated.  She's not utilizing what you're giving her.  If a horse's digestive tract is functioning properly all of the supplements that you see people pushing are absolutely not needed.  Bluebonnet makes an excellent digestive aid that has changed my horses completely. I gave them 4oz a day of Transform DSI for the past 60 days and have now cut back to 2oz a day and they are looking great.

I had the same problems that you are talking about, dull coat, empty flanks, and couldn't get them to bloom no matter what I did.  I promise you that if you commit to a good prebiotic/probiotic digestive supplement and give her the maximum recommended for a couple of months you'll get her back on track.

She is turned out on in the pasture day and night the only time she isn't turned out is when she is being fed or being ridden. I don't feed alfalfa because she is a hot horse and alfalfa can make her hotter.

Alfalfa is highly unlikely to make a horse hot. It's all the starches in so many feeds that people give that makes a horse hot. Also, the sugars in the new grass that is growing that can make a horse hot.

I feed forco and ultium currently. Trying to see if I can get some triple crown, my gelding is kind of a hard keeper....if he isn't on a quality grain, he drops weight and looks terrible. Since he's been on the ultium and forco, he has blossomed and looks great.

I tried the Nutrena Perform and didn't like it... Get some FORCO... it does wonders for our horses... I put my guys on Purina Active Senior w/ the FORCO and they blossomed!!

Her teeth were floated August of 2013, June 2014, and just done again 3-4 weeks ago.

This comes from Bluebonnet Feeds.  It's part of their Stride line.  It's called Stride Transform DSI.
