| I just bought an older Pozzi, and I'm not sure what this piece is under the seat jockey. Anyone know? Or know if it can be removed somehow? It's going to wear the leather out if I don't do something with it, and kinda uncomfortable when you ride. I've got an email into Double J but thought I'd ask here too.

Location: Southern Indiana | Umm looks like to me the stir up leathers have came unsewn from the fender. I would be careful riding in it. Or someone has re-rigged the fenders to sit further forward.
Wanted to add I think that metal piece is supposed to be riveted to the fender.

I would call Double j and send these pictures to them and see if they can help you out. |

Pretty sure you are right. It has been rerigged to have forward hung stirrups, so that would make sense. Thanks for the help! |

Welcome! Surprised the seller did not inform you that they had been modified. I know lots of people complain about the pozzis throwing them forward. I had never experienced it until I rode my colt in one of mine one day. Not sure if it's because he is thinner or how he is built or what. |

I tried out the saddle and knew that it had been rerigged, nothing the seller didn't disclose. But I didn't really notice it the first time I rode in it. Until your post it didn't dawn on me what it was, but makes perfect sense now.
This is the first Pozzi that I've rode in, so can't really compare it to any others on it throwing people forward. But this one really seems to help me sit deep and centered.
Thanks again, I appreciate the help! |
