I looked at a few posts and weeding through the conversations is kind of confusing. Looking at 2016 stallions. Looking for the more easy- going bloodlines.

Since this isn't a multiple choice poll I chose FWF, but he's tied with Dash Ta Fame with me. I'm seriously considering breeding my mare to Firewater Ta Fame (Buckskin son of DTF, grandson of FWF) or Firewater Finale (Palomino son of FWF, grandson of Bully Bullion) next year. Firewater Ta Fame's stud fee is $1750, check him out on facebook or they're website www.martinquarterhorses.com his foals are NICE. Firewater Finale's stud fee is $1000, look him up on facebook or they're website www.schimkeranch.com/FirewaterFinale.html He produces some very nice offspring as well. They'll both market very well.

I have heard DTF horses can be hot? I'm sure it depends on what else is tossed in the mix though.

I tried to change it to multiple choice but I don't know how

More like "sensitive". Bottom side makes a BIG difference. I think DTF adds heart & energy if crossed right. That's why I like Firewater Ta Fame, FWF/DTF is a good cross. FWF's are known for being so level headed & calm, DTF's can be called "hot" but it's in how you treat them. Also the resulting foal would be a grandget, so the mares personalilty & the studs personality is gonna translate to the foal more than the grandsire. We're also talking about race lines, there's gonna be "heat" somewhere. btw Sherry Cervi bred Stringray to DTF... enough said ;) DTF's have a long history of being great horse's. I also think if you want a competitive horse, they need a little spunk :) We're not doing pony rides! LOL

What's your mares pedigree? That will be a factor as well.

My first vote would be a Streakin Six bred and then my second choice would be a Firewater Flit bred...I cant believe that no body has voted for a Streakin Six besides me, they are super awesome horses.

I have 3 broodmares, I am for sure breeding to PC Frosty Bid next year, so I'm lacking 2 more breedings.

zan parr bar X moon lark (14.2 and THICK)

shazoom x dashing cleat (normal QH racey look, big hip)

double bred FDD (14.2 racey look, very correct)

I have had Flit To Kill, MJP and Corona Cartel babies and all were chill and very talented. Very willing. BUT I have only had one of each so....

I think it all depends on which son and then what your mares pedigree looks like or what you are wanting to improve. I think they are all marketable and all pass on wonderful genetics.

See some people say Corona Cartels are hot, It's a horse by horse basis. Do you have any other studs in mind or do you want suggestions? I see you have some shorties, are you wanting more height or is that not an issue? Color? Price range?

I've been told that Corona's are hot but I own 2 grandget. One Ivory James and another out of full brote.to Corona Leaving You. Both are out of same own daughter of runaway winner and Sinn Fein mare. They are both incredibly easy and talented. The Ivory is the easiest horse I've ever been on

I overheard a lady at a barrel race saying corona cartels were stubborn and hard to train as I was riding by on my OTT that had been rode 10X in a western saddle on his first trip away from home XD

I'm open to suggestions :) I just tried to chose the more major lines since it seems they all go back to just a handful of horses. Price range honestly varries on how well I like the stallion. I'm not good at saying no if I really like it lol

I have 2 Firewater Ta Fame babies and they are awesome. Smartest, most easy going babies ever!! You show them something once and they don't forget. I don't even think of them as babies (1 yearling and 1 weanling) because they act like grown horses already.

What are your mares registered names (at least the double bred FDD) so I can look them up on all breed pedigree if they're on there.
For now, here are my favorites.

Firewater Ta Fame - DTF -$1750 - Buckskin
Firewater Finale - FWF - $1000 - Palomino
Lions Share Of Fame - DTF - $1500 - Sorrel
Technicolours - FG - $1250 - Palomino
High On Corona - CC - $1500 - Bay
Tres Fortunes - Tres Seis - $1750 - Bay

I have a son of Sun Frost and he is the easiest horse to deal with.   I can breed a mare (or collect him), then throw him in the trailer and go rope for the rest of the night.  For a stud to do that in the middle of breeding season is something special.  Great bloodlines for great minded, marketable horses.  Training can make or break any bloodline...but some bloodlines are just so much easier to deal with, especially for subpar trainers like most of us here on BHW.

I'm a Firewater Flit fan, but as mentioned already it all depends on what the whole pedigree holds...

I'm usually not big on sorrels but she's beautiful! Can't find anything wrong with her, nice! She looks like she's gonna be a thick horse too.
