I started taking riding lesson to get back in shape, and have any bad habits iv developed pointed out, I had lesson 2 Monday and I have dark bruises on my seat bones, I was told by instructor my form was good, but I have never been this saddle sore not to mention had bruises on my seat from riding. The saddle did keep my feet under me and if it were my saddle I prefer them more forward would that cause bruises? Or wrong size seat I had room to move checked it as usual seemed to fit ?

Being sore I can understand if your out of shape, but a saddle can sore you up too if the saddle is a bad fit/too wide for you, but bruising never heard of brusing from a saddle, or you posting while troting? If not posting I can see where the bruising would happen if you are just sitting a trot and bouncing and hitting the saddle while you are coming down and the saddle coming up and hitting you.
