I don't have a picture I can post, but I have a yearling...almost 14 months old, about 14.2 kind of stocky built.  He is as tall as my 14.2 gelding, but is much shorter body length.

I have no idea what his weight is.  He has been wormed 3 times, but he has grown a great deal in the past 4 months.

Do you worm with a whole tube?  Using Safeguard this time.

Anyone just tell me what you worm your yearlings at? The weight on the tube. Grown horses, I use the whole tube...but he is.not grown.

I always use the whole tube. I am sure there is a safty margin built in. Why waste the rest of it if they are just short a hundred pounds or so. Look how much wormer you give one if you power pack one.

Use the whole tube.

For 25g tube:
DOSAGE:

Safe-Guardยฎ (fenbendazole) Paste 10% is administered orally at a rate of 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) for the control of large strongyles, small strongyles, and pinworms. One syringe will deworm a 1,100 lb horse. ***For foals and weanlings (less than 18 months of age) where ascarids are a common problem, the recommended dose is 4.6 mg/lb (10 mg/kg); one syringe will deworm a 550 lb horse.***
