start slow and work your way up. It also depends on how much weight you are trying to get on a horse or are you trying to maintain? Are you switching to just pellets and bran from another feed ...?

Just trying to put on a little weight . I'm feeding strategy healthy edge , two scoops twice a day

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is a roughly 12% protein and 8% fat feed right? How much by weight or volume are you feeding ... two scoops tells me kinda nothing ... Got a measuring cup laying around, that helps give you a baseline measurement to feed. You might not be feeding enough of that feed for the work and weight of your horse already ....
Maybe first, check to make sure you're feeding it according to the directions on the bag/tag of feed.
