My horses run equally well both directions. I, on the other hand, see my approach to the left barrel better so in turn I can nail the money barrel every time. I also like being able to set my horse up for whatever arena we are running in. A lot of the time it seems like the smaller indoors are set up for a better approach to the left barrel first.

Most horses have a better direction. One that feels more natural to them. If a horse feels more flexible to the right, I am going to pick the pattern that has two right turns. My last 3 have been leftys. It is a blessing, because my left shoulder is a mess and it is a big bonus to just have one turn to the left! I really think there are as many people that would rather have a lefty now as there are people that would not buy one.
