Perhaps you should get a second opinion. If it's infected it could get into the bone. Basing this on my husbands infection in a cut on his foot that went into the bone and cost him his right leg from above the knee.

That is definitely NOT good.

Location: East TN		Wrapping her leg worked. She left it alone and the swelling went down quite a bit. When I took the wrap off I saw a lot of infection that the gauze absorbed. The wound wasn't oozing infection any more either. It was bleeding a little bit, but no pus or infection. She is also now walking on it normally and doesn't limp like she was before. Actually, she doesn't limp period now. Definite progress.

I would look into getting some antibiotics for that leg before it gets any worse.

For the Skipper W lines...

I bought a stunning palomino colt a few years ago. Definitely a late bloomer as far as growing goes. By 5 he was jaw dropping beautiful. Heavily muscled but still athletic.

He sure was pretty, but dumb as a rock. I tried for 3 years after starting him on the pattern to get along with him. I absolutely hated him. Thought it was me, so I sent him to a reining trainer first then off to a barrel trainer. I received a phone call after the first week and they told me he won't be a barrel horse. He had absolutely no drive, no work ethic, nothing.

Ended up selling him for a trail horse. Everyone has the certain lines they shy away from. Skipper W/Weiscamp bred horses are that line for me!
