My horse had a mild bout with colic yesterday. Just a little uncomfortable and had some diarrhea/lose stool. Took to the vet and he felt much better by the time I left. She said everything was good except he has some fluid In his colon. She had me give banamine when I got home and half dose every 12 hours until loose stool was gone. This was to treat endotoxins. This morning he had NORMAL manure already BUT........ Over night he sweat just over his butt! We are talking his body was dry and very top of his butt was wet with sweat. So much it covered his but and ran down his leg. Any ideas? He seems good today!

I would say an indication of pain in that area.

The sweat dried up quickly as soon as sun came up and it got warm. I bathed him this afternoon and he seems fine and sweat has not returned.

Glad to hear that your horse is doing good and feeling better, I hate it when they dont feel their best, colic can be so scary..
