Location: Never in one place long | My first "baby" is having surgery tomorrow for his torn ACL. I would love prayers and anyone who has had this surgery, advice about recovery do's and don'ts! His name is Buckshot and he's 9 years old. :)

Location: Red Raiderland | I had it done on my Mastiff many years(10 years or so) ago and she did just fine with the surgery. They have to not be able to run or jump for several weeks. Your boy will be just fine. |

Location: OKLAHOMA | I had a Lab that had this surgery several years ago. Prayers for your boy. My only suggestion is follow vet orders and I love THE nutra wound for any of my dogs that have had surgery or a broken bone. It really helps the helaing. Best of luck.... |

Location: ND--it snows, it floods, it snows, it floods | We had it done 10 years ago on our black lab and she is 11 1/2 and still going strong. Follow instructions from the vet. Lots of leash walks and as he heals walks in taller grass will really help. Also swmming...as much swimming as you can, it will help with keeping mobility AND is the least amount of pressure on the healing wound. We used the THE nutrawound as well and had excellant results. Also, he doesn't look heavy but keep him slimmed down, it's way easier on their joints especially as they get older. |

| I'd say just follow vets orders to a t. Use a towel or blanket up under him to help support and take weight off, small kennel basially enough room to get up turn around kind of thing. Most clients rushed it feeling sorry for their babies and sometimes on rare occasion they would of had to been redone. Also sometimes too once you get one side done the other will go and have to be done because of compensation. :( I'm sure your boy will be back to new in no time, it's amazing how fast they can heal and you will forget you even had to have it done. Let us know how it goes. I wouldn't ever hesitate to have this done success rate is amazing. |
