| I wanted to get some opinons on TLC Equi-Bone. I know many people use it for navicular, but I specifically want to know how it worked on a bone fractures. We just had a filly fracture her elbow sometime early Thursday morning. Vet has her on stall rest for the next 3 months - then we will check up and re-evaluate our options. Before I spend the extra money for this, I want to know if it really worked for you? Do you feel they would have healed the same without it? Did you do any other therapies? |

| You can do a search and find much more information. I haven given this supplement a few different times but basically I don't feel for the price that it contributed at all to the healing process. I feel like the actual meds and therapies we were using did the job just fine and money was basically wasted on this... |

Thank you!! I have been doing a lot of research. Ive seen a ton of reviews, both good and bad, but mainly pertaining to navicular. Which is why I posted about fractures specifically. Vet didnt suggest any other meds or other therapies. Just stall rest in 12x12 stall. What meds/therapies did you use? Thanks again! |

| I am in the same boat on this. My mare fractured her splint bone 3 weeks ago - I also looked into the Equi-Bone as an option for the healing process and found a bunch of good reviews for navicular. i actaully called them and he did recomend if for my situation but I have not bought it. I feel that if my vet wanted me to use this - he would have offered me to look into a bone supplement. All he said was bute daily and re-check in 3 weeks along with the possibility of stall rest for 3 months and go from there.
I would like to know if anyone else has used Equi-bone for fractures and had good results. |

The vet I went to is VERY old school and doesn't really believe in alternative therapies so he never even mentioned any supplements or anything else. I know how he is so I didnt even ask either. lol
I do have a friend that used equi-bone on a 1D barrel horse that fractured his hip. She believes this product worked wonders on him. But, I wanted more opinions before I purchase. Hes back to running solid 1D again. |

Location: Lost in the swamps | For the price, for a splint fracture in my opinion, not worth it. Not sure how bad yours is, but My horse fractured his splint in two places, hairlines and fortunately not displaced. Although My vet reccomended platnum performance osteon.(prob because they push the products line) He still told me it would not speed the healing process. It's Just to help to calcify it stronger, I he were diffficient. I still did 6 weeks stall rest.also bought a small pale for just $50.00 direct. Wether it helped???? Who knows? But 50.00 bucks I'd rather spend than on this type of injury than almost 300.00 I would try equinone if I had a navicular horse though. |

| Everyone has been talking about the Osphos i wonder if that would help you? Plus its injectable so you wouldnt have to worry about if she was actually getting it. Its marketed toward navicular too but supposed to help lots of issues. I might would try it first.. On another note, i ordered Equibone for a navicular gelding a friend loaned me to ride while my horse was out, but he coliced and died after less than a month on it so i truly cant say |

Location: Lala Land | Dr. Hays at Elgin Equine recommends CalDensity.
ETA: I fed my navicular horse Equi Bone for a year and a half and followed the recommended feeding. Did x rays May 1 and there were no changes.

| I don't use suppliments to help with bone remodelling.
I have had bone marrow injected into the fracture, and I have used generic stem cells.
Both treatments I have had complete heals and back to riding in 6 weeks |

| It was recommended to me for a horse with coffin bone fracture. I have been feeding it for over 4 of the 6 months he has been off. radiographs recently show it is healing nicely. not sure what impact (if any) the EquiBone or PHT Magnetics bell boots played but I thought it was worth a try. all I can say is that my vet (and myself) are very happy with the progress per radiographs and looking forward to getting mine back to work within the next few weeks :).
Edited to add: we also did cold laser treatment once per day for about a week after fracture was diagnosed.

| My gelding fell and fractured his shoulder, I had success with the OCD Pellets.
I've also heard great things about CalDensity. Would definitely look more into that product.
