Location: Rocky Mountains		I know this probably sounds dumb but this race with 100k added has futurity, open, 18/40, youth, slot race.... All normal and clear to me... But then there's the derby. What exactly is that? It says horses 7 and under. Is this kinda like a futurity except it doesn't have to be the horses first year? If so I'm excited to carry over to that with my 5 yr old but if it's not what I think it is I don't want to spend money on it lol.

Yep derby is usually 7 and under and there are no restrictions like futurity. You could have run them before dec 1 etc.
