What's the best way to tell the difference between an abscess and a stone bruise? And what is the best and fastest way to treat a stone bruise?
Thanks in advance

Ice feet as much as you can. If you think it's an abccess pack feet and try to draw it out.

Ice is best for bruising. I buy those shallow black feeders and put the ice in those with water. Sometime you have to sedate them a little. I only fill it up to the hairline. Try to do it for 5 days and do bute bc of all the inflamation. And just for clarification bruising CANNOT be seen by radiograph or MRI. Keep the horse on soft ground.
