Is it hot the touch? Does it move around or is it stationary? Do you have prickly pear or cactus in your pasture? If so, have you checked it for a thorn or thistle that may have been picked up while your horse was rolling?Β
ETA: Do you have a picture?
I was having trouble with the pic, it's on there now. I don't think it's overly warm to the touch, it moves around very easily, it feels fatty & soft not hard. Her skin in the surrounding areas is kinda loose & droopy as well. I don't think there's any thorns in it. Also it's not painful to her, she'll let me move it around & feel the surrounding area with no reaction. |

I really hope so! I honestly feel like I stole this horse lol She's bred AMAZINGLY, has a si 91 & won money in barrel futurities. 1D horse until she became arena sour & her owners dumped her off to be a broodmare, I snatched her up for $1500! Hope to rehab her issues & get her running again |

If it is a scar, I would still have a vet check to make sure nothing is damged like nerves or ligaments or tendons just to be sure. Good luck to you and congrats on your purchase! |

I'm having a mare preg checked in a couple weeks, I'm gonna have the vet have a look to see if it needs a further look. Thank you! |
