I know amplify is part of many of their feeds but has anyone ever just used the supplement itself! It's spendy but need something to mix with my little bit of whole oats for one horse. Thanks.

Purina originally sold it as a supplement and then started to add it into their feeds.

Sorry you are having such a hard time finding a feed that works for your horses.

I use it. My mare is super picky and didn't want to eat it at first so I had to add it in real slow. Check into buying a 50lb bag vs the 35 lb pail. Around here it's 40 for the pail and 50 for the bag.

We used it for our 36 year old gelding before they started adding it to the feed itself, and it was awesome. Helped him a ton---he has very few teeth left so mixed it with his feed, supplements, and beet pulp into a mash. It's good stuff!

Thanks ! Yep it's in 50 pound bags here for 50 bucks. I decided not to go with it because this store only carries it periodically. I can't stand that. Lol

I used it many times to get weight on horses. It's 30% fat if I remember right. I just told the purina dealer to bring it in cause I wanted to buy it.

I have used it and had great results with it. It is expensive but it works and is a safe way to add weight.

What store are you talking about? I seem to remember you mentioning that you shop at a TSC, and I work for a company owned by TSC and we follow their same policies. They should be able to order it in for you on a regular basis and call you when it comes in. We have several customers that we get things for that are specifically for just them.

I've used the Amplify nugget myself as well. My mare wouldn't eat a whole lot of it, but I think now it's because of having ulcers because she used to not eat anything until I treated her.

I used it on my husband's old gelding. He got soaked beet and alfalfa pellets, oats and Amplify. He did so good on it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat for something that needs the extra fat.  Everyone around here now is fat as a tick.

I think Omolene 300 is basicly amplify and oats.  I've been feeding it to one of my broodmares and she looks great on it.
