Location: Hernando, Ms | Looking for the best supplement to help grow a hoof out. And help the hoof get stronger. What have you used that worked? like and dislike on others. I have already done CleanTrax Wednesday.

Location: Winging It in KY | I have used the DuMOR Hoof from Tractor Supply. It worked for mine. Also, nothing against the CleanTrax but I would use the White Lightning for the white line disease. I have had really good success with it. I generally continue to treat / soak the affected hoof till I have finished the bottle. |

how many soaks do you do with White Lightening? I have a mare with a touch of it right now and was able to soak both her front feet twice with one bottle of white lightening. I then used a small bottle of the gel but had issues with wrapping but used it a couple times a week for a couple weeks. I started just putting iodine in the spots. but now I am wondering if I should get another bottle of White Lightening or some thrush buster or what? Just till it grows out. |

| I use CA Trace Minerals. It balances out hay diets with elements to help prmote healthy hooves. Really helped my horses

I usually get 4 soaks out of a bottle. I buy the 8 oz bottle. I have never used the gel. Here is a link to the instructions |

I've done it both ways but it is probably best with it off. Sometimes just getting it soaked is better that nothing. I generally give mine a hay bag and leave him in the boot for an hour or better. If they will stand longer let them. The further ahead of it you can stay the better off you will be. Just keep checking to see if you have heat in the hoof or a pulse. If you do, it is not gone.
