Subject: Dark Spots on Sesamoid Bone

 I don't have all the details yet but a friends horse came up lame on the right front. Vet did a hoof test/flexion test and then took x-rays and said there are two dark spots on the sesamoid bone. Anyone ever dealt with this and what did you do for maintenance? Is there any hope for soundness?
