Anyone have some helpful links? My fiance wants something simple. He works construction so he won't be wearing it 90% of the time. He isn't the type that will remember to slip it on when we go out, so I don't want to spend a fortune (and he doesn't expect me to, thank goodness! )

I'm not sure about a wedding band but if he can't wear the ring 90% of the time, maybe he could get a tatoo one and have a band too lol. I dont' have any tatoos and dont' particularly like them but I see the relevency when one can't wear rings. My husband can rarely wear his and almost lost it twice! :( It's a bummer when work prevents you from wearing one but they can be dangerous I guess.

I love these...they are .925 silver (any gold is filled though I think!).

My brother works construction and wears his every day. There is a certain metal you can get that when either crushed or pulled beyond a certain very small degree, it shatters. He's smashed three so far. They saved his finger from getting hung when they shattered. He said it literally looked like glass when it shattered. They send him a new ring free of charge each and every time he's broken his ring. It's a lifetime warranty and replacement. I think his wife bought his at Jarreds.

Etsy has some nice rings. I found a wooden ring with turquoise stone inlay on there that my SO fell in love with. I think I ended up paying $250 or something for it. But the guy gave us a warranty to replace it up to five times if he breaks it. Wish I could remember his shop name...
It will also break if put under pressure or if he gets hung up working on equiptment just because it's wooden. He likes it because it's lighter than metal.

I bought my husband's ring off EBay. We looked in all of our local jewelry stores for something he liked, and didn't see anything. He like that one, so that's what I got. Whatever material it is, it can be cut off of he were to break his finger or something. Although he doesn't wear it when at work or roping, he is very good about remembering it when we go out.

Our bands really don't match at all. But they each match our own style. Heck, my wedding and engagement rings don't "match" but I love the way they look together. My engagement ring is an "upgraded" Bob Berg with champagne diamond, and the wedding band is from Zales. We bought the band 2 days before the wedding bc I just couldn't find something I liked lol.
I will try to attach pictures but 90% of the time my phone won't post them.

Tungsten is the metal that will shatter if it is hit just right or has a certain amount of pressure on it.  That is what we got for my husband who is a mechanic, welder, fabricator, etc.  (he does it all at work).  It didn't break the bank either.  We bought it at Kay Jewelers.

Hy O Silver makes western wedding bands. They aren't very pricey for wedding bands.

I got my rings from Cowboy Jewelry (or something very similar to that name). I just googled western wedding rings and they were the first to pop up. I love my rings but they weren't crazy expensive either. My band has our brand on it. I know they have men rings but we didn't buy my husband one cuz he would never wear it anyways lol

HAHA!
My SO had no idea there were either. I got a half size too large for him so that when he sweats and his fingers swell it isn't uncomfortable. He has large knuckles that keep it in place when he isn't sweaty.

I also got my husband's off ebay for like $10 bucks.  I knew he wasn't really going to wear one so it was mainly just for the ceremony.  He has considered getting a tattoo, but he's scared of needles so he hasn't done that yet.  Maybe one day!

My husband is a farmer... his first wedding band ended up in the grain bin never to be seen again.  I puchased him a replacement.  i wear it on my thumb daily.... when we are on vacation i take it off and make him wear it.  other than that its safely kept with me.... lol

I paid quite a bit for my husband's ring... well about a year after we were married he accidentally launched it into a hay field while he was throwing hay. Never could find it. I wouldn't go get him another one, just couldn't see spending the money on something he would lose so he went and got his own, from a convenience store... for .99 cents. We did go to a Christian store a few months ago and he picked out one that he likes. They had quite a few that looked western, they weren't expensive at all... but a step up from 99 cents lol.

We got mine and my husbands bands from Kohls. I think my husbands was about $100 and mine was about the same, maybe a little more. My engagement ring came from a local jewelry store, but it's a halo and I couldn't find a band that snugged up to the ring that looked good and I liked. We got our bands about 2 weeks before the wedding too!

I do want to mention - I know they advertise that some materials will break or whatever, but I would encourage you to be safe than sorry. My uncle lost his entire ring finger because his ring just got caught on a machine and the ring ripped his whole finger off before the ring had a chance to break. Don't give your guys too hard of a time if they don't wear it at work if they work with machinery. :)
