First off THANK YOU for all of your kind words! I really appreciate them and am so excited and proud of him.
He was just turned out in a pasture and left to sit for over a year because the girl was going to school and didn't have time for him. He supposedly was started on the pattern and had been cruising 2d/3d times when they went back to school.
I have rode him a few times and took him to a local rodeo and he handled everything like a pro. He gets a little antsy when his buddy leaves him but overall stayed calm and cool about everything else. He rides very collected and soft but I can tell hes still sore in his feet.
My vet and farrier are confident in about 6 months they can have him ready to rock and roll though.

Poor guy looks like she kicked him out on a dirt lot. Were his teeth really awful? I don't think I've ever seen a 10 yo horse look that bad just being on pasture.
I'm hoping he turns into a superstar for you.

Your awesome! Those bloodlines tend to have shallow soles. I use an antivibe rim pad on my horses and it takes quit a bit of shock from them. They cost ya $20 a set but dang they can turn a horse around.
