Helmet folks - I need some guidance.

I can't ignore it any longer and I think I'm going to get a helmet. Now I have a big ol' head. I wear a size 7 3/4 long oval cowboy hat. I can never buy those "one size fits all" baseball caps because they lie. Are there helmets out there that don't cost an arm and a leg that comes in a XL?

Look at the Ovation helmets. They are adjustable and very cost effective. My personal favorite for a light weight helmet that doesn't break the bank. Much more comfortable than a troxel.

You need to go try different makes and models to see what fits you the best.

They are more pricey, but Charles Owen makes the Wellington which fits a longer oval head

My head is huge, and I had to try a few different ones. The Troxel ones didn't work for me because they have a weird pinch point right above my temples that gave me a headache. The Ovation one I have now is a little more round-shaped and it's great. It's really comfortable, not hot, and it was only ~$40.

Ooo you're going to love me. My husband wears the exact same hat size and I spent eons searching the internet for a helmet that would fit him. I finally found one and it looks awesome! I think it looks better than my Troxel or Tipperary. Really low profile and not bulky at all. He says it's not hot and it's lightweight. The brand name is Snowbee, I'll post a link to the site we ordered from. They have two different ones, I couldn't see a big difference so I got the $60 one.
