I am looking for a barrel saddle and I am a youth beginner. I need some recommendations.
I suggest that you look at Corriente saddles. They fit a wide variety of horses. They are not very expensive so you do not have a large amount of money tied up in the saddle. They are nice looking saddles. Since you are a younger rider you will probably need a bigger saddle in a few years you can get a more expensive one later. A nice mid priced saddle is a Billy Cook
(it has to be the one made in Sulphur OK, the Greenville TX saddles are not very good
). I have ridden Billy Cooks for the past 40 years. On the more pricey end are the Martha Josey saddles. They are wonderful by the way. Be sure that you get the correct size seat that fits you now. Don't get one and plan to grow into it. If it is too big you will slide all over the place. If the saddle is too small you cannot get your feet in front of you and can't get in the correct
position to turn. One reason that the Corriente saddles are a good starter saddle. I like a pretty saddle and those Corrientes are pretty. I did the best I could with the information you gave. Hope this helps.
