What does a LM double j ride like? How are the stirrups hung, forward, straight up?

I am riding in one right now and I love it. Stirrups keep my feet under my hips and even though the saddle is a little small for me, it keeps my centered over my very hard turning mare.

I have ridden old saddles so I am not sure I will be of much help. I rode in an Ed Wright for years and I think it rides like that saddle but I like the higher horn on the LM. I think though in LM I have a little more wiggle roo, too. I also have a Meleeta Brown saddle that is hands down the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden, but I have not run barrels in it yet. But the LM rides like that one too.

Love the LM saddles, they stirrups hang so feet are under hips but you can move your leg forward or back if you need to move your foot up to should or move it back to kick the hip. The saddle keeps your centered of horse.

Love, love mine. Was riding in a Billy Cook before that, the LM gives me a lot more contact with the horse and I do feel more centered and very balanced. My gelding likes it better too - not sure if its the great fit or what, but we were having a ton of trouble with the right lead
(he's young
), and he doesn't give me 2% of the fit he was giving me about it in the Billy Cook. I agree with the others about the stirrups.
