I am looking at an aluminum horse trailer.  It is older (2000) Adam.  Everything looks really good, but the tack room door was damaged.  The price of the trailer is excellent IF the door replacement is under $1K with shipping.

I am very remote...I have contacted Adam but I don't think I can get a replacement door for that year.  I may have to have one manufactured but have no idea what that would cost.

Has anyone had something like this?  I'm kind of in a hurry because the price is so low it won't last long.  However, I don't want to buy a trailer and then have no tackroom door and can't afford to replace.

Thanks in advance!

Does Adam Trailers have any dealers in your area? If so, you can request a door be shipped on a trailer coming to that dealer and freight is usually much less

We had our door replaced on a Featherlite, and I think it was right around $900, and they did the installation work.
The door shipped to them, or they made it, we didn't have to have shipped.
I'm not sure if they were able to use some parts from the original or not, but the door itself was in bad shape & not salvageable.

My husband went to a tractor trailer dealer and bought a door blank for the back of a semi trailer. He used the other door as a template, cut it down and moved all the hardware over to the new door. I think it was $100 for the door.
