Yes our vet said it had to have been broke pretty badly for it to heal back the way it did

Thanks for the input everyone I plan to get ahold of the guy and see if he will make it right, the horse can barely walk and has been that way since we got him home so I know he was most likely drugged so he wouldn't limp.
Please for the horses sake, euthanize.
No horse deserves to be living in pain

That's sad. People unload their horses at the auction for a reason. He knew he couldn't sell it to anyone else because they'd surely find out about it and he just wanted to wring a few bucks out of the poor horse and make his problem someone else's in the process. Cheryl is probably right. The best thing you can do for the poor horse is euthanize him if he's going to be lame forever and cut your losses. But boy, that is hard, especially when they are young. Sorry you're going through this.
