Reaction to SNM clay?

Bought a brand new tub of SNM clay and decided to use it after a hard workout. Bathed my horse and then rubbed it on his legs. He started acting horrible! Wouldn't stand still, agitated, trying to rub against the wall, stomping his legs. So I sprayed it off and then he was fine. I've used other brands of clay and he was always fine. Could he of been having a reaction specifically to that brand? I use SNM liniment on him about every day with no reactions at all.

I had problems with a SNM product and I blamed it on the Pyranaha fly spray as I hadn't washed it off of his legs. It was either the combo of it was the SNM as I went back to using Pyranah fly spray on the same horse without any problems.

I had given him a bath before applying it and made sure to scrub his legs really good to get all of the fly spray and other stuff off. It was weird, I've never had a horse react like that before. I've been debating trying it again but am nervous. I was curios if anyone else had a similar reaction. I do use pyrina fly spray as well.

Some of the essential oils in the clay could cause a reaction

I wouldn't try it again. I would call the company and hopefully they will send you a certificate for a different product.
