Location: Saskatchewan | This summer was my first year running this mare, and first year running at more than one or two rodeos that i was roping at! I didnt want to to too much, so we just stuck to one little jackpot series, and oh my my, how we've improved!
Just have to brag on my donkey a little!
I'm super excited for next season!

Im not sure how everyone can be miserable, thats not the right attitude!
I trained this horse myself, and its been a huge learning experience for both of us actually going around and running and even though we usually did rather well, and got a few checks, we still had really bad days (usually at home), and didnt qualify for any year-end prizes, and finished off .1 of a second from a buckle. Sure that was kind of a bummer but no reason to be miserable.
IMO enjoy it while you still can, lots of folks out there cant enjoy it and want to, and if you mope around miserably thats just silly! |

Location: Montana | Not sure why, but Itsme is often negative, so I try not to pay a lot of attention.
I'm very happy for you and that is such a pretty horse! I'm one of those who wishes I could have been out there running this summer, but wasn't able to. The stebacks are what make you want to go out and try harder (at least for me) but I'm always one to find something positive, even if it is just all the barrels were still standing. I really am happy that you had so much fun!  |

Location: God's country | That was really cool the way you had the video set up. You could literally see her improve from one run to the next. I think I may do that when I start running my filly so I can track her progress. Congrats, you've got yourself a nice horse there! |

As to the miserable people. Find something to participate in that makes you less miserable. I have been barrel Racing since 1959. I used to be the one to beat, now I am just happy to go participate because I am not gonna win anything. Go have fun and be positive. Yes, I am positive, but very realistic. Laughing. |

Location: Saskatchewan | I'm not sure I could be miserable about horses as long as I have horses.
This horse especially, I got her on a trade for a parts baler, wild and completely un touchable, and trained her all from scratch by myself. The fact that I can get on her a ride a nice horse whenever I want, because its mine and I made it that way, is enough reason to not be miserable, no matter the kind of day I'm having. |
