Lasix users... Help please

So my older barrel horse runs on 3ml IM 4hrs out. Been working great for him. He is also on Lung aid daily supplement. I always give him a dose of electrolyte paste after every run. I normally only make 4-5 runs a month though. I'm taking him to a 3day barrel race soon and wasn't sure the best way to dose his Lasix., should I drop it after day 2? Also in the past I have given oxy jailbreak to help with his stomach and would like to use it this weekend however it's a PRE race paste, wasn't sure how the electrolytes in the paste would effect his Lasix.
Suggestions would be nice and I would love to try some of Oxy-gens other paste but besides jailbreak and oxy boost plus the others are kinda out of my price range.

keep the lasix amount the same all days. also my bleeder got both electrolytes in her grain and jailbreak. just make sure your horse is drinking lots of water and maybe give electrolytes a day or two after the race just to help him/her stay hydrated and gain back some of that water weight

Yes, keep giving the lasix all 3 days. Giving the jailbreak pre race is fine. Also, I'm an Oxy rep and we have a new paste called Race X. Its for bleeders and it has Jailbreak in it!! You give it pre-race.

You should be feeding a daily electrolyte with the lasix! Or feed one 3 days prior to giving and through the weekend of running

Hopefully this link works....it's not on the main Oxy site yet. Just ask your local rep

Electrolytes are extremely important since Lasix will dehydrate them. I give In the Zone
(by Animal Element
) the night before each run just to make sure they eat and drink well and then 2 hours before every run.

Would you do this on top of an electrolyte paste? I typically give him a paste the day before I use Lasix and after a run. I know too much electrolytes can also lead to serious problems as well.
