What ideas would you have to dress up a 3 year old little girl, and horse for a costume contest during a barrel race? I'm hit a brick wall with ideas, because I'm obviously not a creative person lol.

i think it would be adorable to dress up as Jesse form toy story and have the horse as the horse from toy story!
Or have your daughter be a princess and the horse be a magical unicorn!

Pintrest has some AWESOME costume ideas!

I think it always helps to know the color of the horse! When I Was younger, & riding english, we used to have a Halloween horse show.

Here's a couple ideas I can't forget....

White pony spray painted w/black spots... girl was Cruella DeVille
Harry Potter... made glasses & cape for the horse.
Indian (classic favorite, with war paint)
Black horse - Zorro, Headless horseman/woman (okay maybe not for a 3yr old lol)
Unicorn is always cute, especially if she wants to be a princess!

These were always my favorite to do with my daughter! I used google a lot for inspiration. I am not very creative on my own! One year she was a bumble bee and we made her little horse in to a flower. Another year she was little bo peep and Chip was a sheep. Another idea I never made before we sold her pony was little red riding hood and Chip would have been a wolf. Super cute!

The Child Gone Wild has gone as an Indian girl on her war pony. . she was a Witch and we painted her horse to be a broom.  Dorothy and the horse is the lion or scarecrow.. various things.

minus the fact that my horse was TERRIFIED of the headless horseman in the costume class so I didn't get any pictures that were not a dashing green paint horse.

I dressed my horse up as a tractor and me as a farmer

It was a green sheet that had all of the john deere logos with big tractor wheels made out of wire and fabric. I was in a typical farmer get-up.
