| I wish NBHA would get their website together. We should have archives on there to go back and look at past results from any year. Also, I'd love for them to post the books. Full pay out, facility rental, tractor drivers, and awards the whole shin dig. Its supposed to be a non-profit organization and the books are supposed to be open to the public. I think it needs to start at the national level doing this, then the state, and district. Some directors steal so much money from their districts it is pitiful! Other directors work their butts off and people show them no respect! I hate how NBHA makes it easy for ppl to just steal money, hide money, etc...
NBHA needs a major overhaul. Their big shows just don't pay out enough. Its ridiculous! Shew well now I bet I've ruffled some feathers but I really wish they had some way of instilling accountability for our districts to ensure money is not stolen.

I completely agree with you. There's a district near us (not ours - not even in our state - but we run a few of their shows) that won't put their show results out for the public to see. They won't even post them at the show or on facebook. I took a major beating on fb trying to see results for a show we paid entry fees on to run 4 horses. Someone from that district that ran in the same class also asked to see the results on fb. The reply was "Why, you were at the show?"
I think someone is "cooking" the books in that district.
Our state is awesome about posting results. You can see them at the show, take pics of the results after the class is over, etc. Generally within a week or less the results are posted on our state's website. |
