Latte sold for $850,000. The highest selling barrel horse on record.
The Walkers already owned 90% of him so of the $850,000 they only had to come up with 10% in reality....so they only paid $85,000 for him....the rest was put up by Justin Discount Boots and I am sure returned to Justin Discount Boots once the court case was over. |

They only had to give 10% of what Latte sold for to the other owner. So he only sold for around $80,000, Justin Boots put up the rest of the money and got it back or at least got it back minus the 10%. The Walkers did lose the court case though and did have to pay the old owner more at a later date.
Walkers did not lose the court case, check your facts. And they did have to put up the entire 850K,not as simple as suggesting they just had to put up 85K. I don't have a dog in this fight but plz check your facts. |

Location: Sherman, TX | They did lose as the other owner was awarded what she was owed, the only time the other owner ever stood up for herself was to state the judge had sided with her. The court case is public record and the court transcript can be read by anyone. Yes they did have to come up with $850,000 but since 90% of it went back to them they are able to pay it back. |

| Congrats to the sellers and the buyers. What a great horse. Before the imaginations run wild on the rumor she didn't pass a vet check (don't know if it is true or not), I can tell you from my own experience, the higher price the horse, the less likely a vet is going to "pass" them 100%. Vets are being sued for passing horses on prepurchase exams and then something comes up later so to cover their butts legally, most vets will find some little something and point it out. It is usually something minor but they still point it out. I sold a rodeo horse for a lot of money several years ago and he passed the vet check with flying colors. The vet asked how much I was selling him for. When I told him the price, they spent a couple more HOURS going over this horse and doing more xrays to be for certain. It was amusing to say the least. |

| I laugh so much when i hear pass or fail there is no such thing it all depends on what the owner considers heavy or light maintenance and what the use for them will be and to them it's breeding. They are gonna start pulling embryos. Congrats to them on another rockstar mare to go with their purchase of Jetto! |

| Couldnt agree more on the vet check... I had a 5 year old, never took a lame step and he "failed" because he went off gimpy to a flex test. Came back and flexed him a second time, went off sound.
Way too much room for interpretation. |

I believe this is Toby: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/apt+to+be+special
Disco was the horse Lindsey ran at The American: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/streakinflingindisco |
