Whiteboy - 2015-10-08 3:48 PM I picked up this girl a year ago, she is unsound due to a kick to her knee that caused a chip.  She had nearly two years of cutting training and was looking at a very promising career according to her trainer.  She has the best attitude and is in foal to PC Lock N Frost...and I can't wait for this baby.

This is what the ped of the baby is going to look like.

Docs Oak on that bottom side is nothing to sneeze at. They have crossed GREAT into the barrel world here in Montana. I just haven't ever had one that is just solely cow/reining bred. :

Here's a question: Why do you think DFP bred horses sometimes have a tendency to not be able to run?

I love the reining/cutting horses now.  Ours have all been fun to run and always coming hunting the turn.  This is my daughters straight cutting bred mare.  She's by Royal Fletch and out of a daughter of Docs Stylish Oak.

This boy is one of my new head horses.  He is 15.3 and super athletic.  He is sensitive and doesn't have much heart though.  He gets a scratch and thinks he is going to die! lol.  http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/ms+heza+lookingthing

My sister's good mare is by a reining stud and out of a gold seeker bars bred mare, she is deceptively fast with one of the coolest turning styles. Everyone told her she would never get out of the 3D when she first started running her but she turned into a really nice 1D/2D horse at big races. She lopes around like a reiner warming up but she gets it done when it is go time.

I really like the cowbreds personally and I love the cutters I have rode, really athletic and know where their feet are. I plan for my next purchase to be a reject but I also like to do ranch rodeos and sorting so that is a motivator as well.

I've been trying to figure out where it comes from...maybe just a bad combination. Luckily he is still a nice rope horse.

I grew up riding two cutter rejects who were both pheniminal 1D barrel horses. One was too agressive for the cutting pen and the other just didnt have the drive or heart for it. Both of them produced several 1D barrel horses. Docs Prescription / poco bueno and Docs Prescription / Hollywood Gold.

I just bought a colt Peppy San Badger Bred x docs prescription and crazy athletic. Was too small for me so I sold him but super cool to watch.

My friend has a FrenchStreakToVegas o/o a reining Hollywood Dunit mare that was a NRHA money earner... she's just a weanling, but very nicely put together. I can't wait to see what she does in a few years.

What a cool mare!

She's a very cool little girl.  We bought her as a reject 4 yr old.  She's 6 now and Pj trained her herself.  They recently qualified for the Indian National Finals in Vegas in Jr Barrels.   She won the jackpot in the video that I posted by 4 tenths.  Quick feet make up for short stature, lol  Hotbox is only 13.3.

The cutters and Reiners are all that I will buy anymore. I absolutely love them and they are so quick, catty and very smart. I have not had a cowbred yet that I don't like. I've had own daughters of Dash For Perks, Martha Six Moons, Jet of Honor, Bully Billion, etc and just did not get along with any of them at all. I sold all my finished horses but I have two cowbred horses now I just started on the pattern that are doing great and I just bought another mare out of Colorado that is by a cowbred stud that is an awesome reiner out of a race mare that I'm anxious to see how she will finish out. Here is the pedigrees on mine http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cats+call+me+elvis
