| Husband is looking to take a job working in San Antonio. Looking for suggestions for towns around there that are afforable and horse friendly. Would love to find a place more north and east of San Antonio (going toward Austin or Houston, if possible . Thank you! |

Location: Bandera, TX | I think the location of your husband's work needs to figure into this. Where will he be working? Lots of good places around SA on all sides. Where are you moving from? |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | You really need to come down and look around as one person's dream can be another person's nightmare. It can be tricky to get around San Antonio during rush hour. |

Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | I stayed in Sequin for about a month when I first moved to Texas. I really liked the little town but we wanted to be closer to family so we didn't stay down there. |

Location: Northwest Florida | I only lived in the area about 8 months, and I actually lived on Ft Sam Houston at the time while I was in school. I don't know much about where the best horse communities are... but I do know you will want to live close to your husbands work so he doesn't have to drive thru all of San Antonio. The traffic is rough there! Absolutely beautiful city though. |

Location: Heart of Texas | Where he works will be a big factor. There are tons of little towns around SA for horses and property but depending on what side of town he'll be at, will determine it. You could have the perfect house, but if he's driving over an hour to work he could get tired of it real quick. |

New Braunfels has really grown and is very expensive plus has one of the highest real estate taxes in the state. |

| I always liked the hill country - Boerne looked like a cool place whenever I went there to visit. |

Location: Huffman, Texas | I had a friend move down to SA, worked in a hospital, looked for some "flat" land to purchase with a house and some land, she also needed to be within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call purposes. She looked for nearly a year and could not find anything that wasnt going to cost a small fortune. She finally gave up and moved to Brenham, with a job at a hospital there. |

Location: IM A DUDE!!!!!!! | Also make sure you get a reputable real estate agent. I am looking to move to SA too, and I've had 2 agents not show up to meet to see houses. |
