I definitely think the rush and the what ifs are something I want as a part of the job. I like new and different. I love surgery too. Not sure how you specialize? I haven't gotten that far into it. Is it more schooling or just through working?

Is it more schooling or just through working? You specialize through work and taking extra classes that are usually offered through different nursing organizations. Generally people start with med surg and after working there for a year you can get an icu or ER job. You usually have to take some classes like ACLS, PALS and TNCC (for the ER) to work there. You job usually pays for you to take them and you get your hourly wage while you take the class.
