Looking through old posts and threads on BHW it looks like a lot of you really liked their saddles and the price of them. Has anyone ever bought a cutting saddle from them? What about a bear trap saddle? I really like the look of their 2nd cutting saddle and bear trap saddle but my husband is weary of the price.

Corriente saddles are pretty affordable. I just bought a youth 10 inch saddle and I'm very happy with it. You can't find a corriente kids saddle any cheaper used than buying a new one. My older daughter had a bear trap tree saddle make by Anderson. Their also reasonable priced saddles. She's out grown hers and is currently riding in mine and I'm contemplating buying her a 13 inch corriente barrel saddle. Their not top of the line quality but their pretty good for the price

I have a ranch cutter. They're the best saddle you can buy if you are on a limited budget around $700 and want a new saddle. No, the leather isn't as nice, and the rough out will rub your legs raw until it's broken in, but overall I mean really, it was $700...so you get what you pay for in a sense, but I would still highly recommend them for that price range. I definitely don't know any other "cheap" saddle companies with quality standards as high as corriente.

I've ordered two new barrel saddles from them in the past couple of years, I still have both and am very happy with them. I believe you can get only one size tree (7" quarterhorse) from them and they've fit most of my horses, except one, that had a very wide ribcage. Saddle are worth the money you pay for them, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again from them.

I dont have one but I know a few people that have the corriente saddle's and I have never heard anything bad about them, for the money you would be getting a pretty nice saddle.

I won a Corriente trophy saddle this summer and I really like it. It fits me down nice in the seat and is a very comfortable ride. I plan on ordering a custom new one sometime. I have seen some really nice high dollar looking ones and they are only $800 shipped. They have a solid wood tree and seem to be quality built. I honestly do not think you can find anything better for that kind of money. I would choose a Corriente over a Circle Y, Tex Tan, Reinsman any day. It does only come in a 7" wide QH tree.

Not answering the question about the cutting saddles but I won a barrel a couple years back. Very comfortable and fits my hard to fit horse pretty darn good!
I am now saving up to buy my daughter a 12" Corriente since the Circle S she has now is far from fitting decently for the amount of hours she puts in it.

I was looking on their website and all the saddles look pretty dang nice. I was also a little hesitant but I've heard nothing but good things about these saddles. A great saddle for the price is what I hear. Go for it!
