Has anyone ever used these?

They are a little too pricey to just give it a go.

Would love to have 3 of them, but not on my budget so guess will have to stick with the slow hay feeder nets.

Yes, I have been testing the newest version. If you use them right they really work well and are very well made. They are expensive, but will pay for themselves by saving on waste, while letting dirt and sand fall through to the bottom of the feeder where your horse can't eat it. I really like these. They work with cubes too.

My horses two horses are by themselves and getting a round bale is going to get really wasteful with the cold weather coming. I wish I could just put a regular feeder out there but my big boy thinks it's cute to climb in and nap!!

I think I'm going to go for it. If anyone comes back to the thread, are they easy to load? how much hay can it hold/or how long does a full one usually last? We would be getting the XL one that would go in the pasture for 8-12 hours of eating a day.

Read the instructions or watch the video. You kind of fold the hay over. You can also take these with you on the road. I like the no waste, but to me, the big deal is the sand migrating out as the horse eats. In sandy areas these would really pay for themselves.

I bought a Natural Feeder a couple months ago and did NOT regret it. I no longer have to throw hay on the ground or fumble with hay bags, and it saves me time in the mornings as I fill it in the evenings and they are still eating off of the bale through the next day. Looks like it is the same type of deal, except the Natural Feeder is for a full small square bale (or large bale flakes).

I like those also, but my 3 DO NOT share with each other so would have to get 3 and the budget just doesn't cover that.

I have 3...i use em in my stalls ...i put about 3 to 4 big flakes of coastal on bottom then 2flakes of alfalfa on top...so they eat their alfalfa and then have grass hay to munch all day or night...that much hay in one will last 12+ hrs..mine don't usually completely finish the grass hay either...i got em because of the sand and waste which has solved both problems..they are expensive but will pay for themselves ..material is durable and safe ..the handles make it easy to move and tie to stall if need be and it has a plug at the bottom if u want to soak your hay.

One of these is on my Christmas list, I have a mare who needs all her meals soaked and I love the concept of the dirt filtering to the bottom.

And I thought I just talked hubby into getting at least one, when he tells me he would probably like them for all 4 kids..... so might be putting an order in soon.

If I had this for one mare in her stall, she would poop in it, like she does any bucket hanging in the stall.....
