I'm in the market for a new trailer, preferably living quarters. Has anyone purchased from Dixie Horse and Mule Company? They advertise nice trailers at reasonable prices but I have no experience with them. I've only bought directly from dealers, Featherlite, etc...

actually if you shop trailer to trailer, they are on the high end, however they can get people with bad/ middle credit financed.....

We have a friend that bought from them and had nothing but good to say about the experience. I priced them for our new Lakota...but ended up ordering ours built with exactly what we wanted. I priced the Lakota dealer here in Arkansas... but Chance Heflin at NRS trailers in Decatur Texas beat their price by several thousand dollars and gave more for our trade.

My friend just bought her trailer from NRS and had nothing but good to say about them. IDK who her salesperson was but they beat the dealers price on her new Lakota as well

I'll check with NRS as well! Fortunately I have great credit so getting one financed should be easy, I just want to use someone reputable and honest. I've spoke with DHMCo in the past and they seemed very friendly and helpful. Here in GA there's not very many large trailer dealers around but in willing to travel for the right price.

Also check Delwood Trailers in Felton De. They do have a website. Very easy to deal with. They have a ton more trailers then what is listed on the website.

We actually bought our old trailer from DHMCO. At the time we couldn't find anything in our budget here in Central Texas, and my husband was at Ft Rucker for training so he went over to them and found one we liked. I drove that way and picked up the trailer. They are very easy to work with. And would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I haven't purchased from them because they are so far away. BUT, I used to be on Horse Trailer World a lot and I have to say they always stepped up to help. Even if people didn't buy from them, if it was a brand they carried and could warranty, Don would take the trailer in to be fixed. I saw this numerous times when people posted frustrations about the original dealer not helping. That always stuck with me and seemed like a company I would want to work with. I can't say anything about price comparisons as I am not local.

Have fun shopping!

I bought my C & C from Dixie and had the trailer delivered here in MN. VERY PLEASANT people to work with..however there were a few minor things on the trailer I didn't know about when it arrived, but they made it well with me and reimbursed me to get new batteries and minor stuff fixed. I would say I probably paid a few thousand dollars more than I should have but overall very happy with Dixie horse and mule co!

Thank you for the responses. I'm in no hurry to purchase but I wanted to find out where I would be treated with the most honesty before I really become invested. I'm excited to start shopping!!!

Haven't bought from them but I can for sure give you a dealer in TX to stay far away from!  The salesman is a nut and harrassed us for a week with late night text messages and calls when we walked away from a deal over $1000.

We ended up bying from Circle M and they have been beyond wonderful and have great customer service.  NRS was very fair as well - would recommend either in a heartbeat.
