Can anybody offer any personal experience about the cricket mini golf carts? We are looking for something for my mother to get around better at super shows as she has a bad knee. I came across some threads from 2007 saying they were significantly lacking in power. I'm also concerned as to how it fits in a horse trailer.

Thanks y'all!

I have one. I'm 63 and honestly, I don't think I could go to the big shows any more if I didn't have one. Mine certainly doesn't lack in power....if I'm not careful, I throw people out of mine. lol It has a really quick take off and can go up to 15 mph on blacktop. I love mine. I'm headed to Midland this weekend for the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association World Finals and it's already loaded in the trailer. It will fit in the first stall behind the stud wall. The only thing you have to be sure of is that your stalls and door are wide enough. Mine is 27 inches wide.

If you get too many on it, it will rear up with you.  Kids parked next to us at Youth World had a few on the back when they would take off it would do it.  It looked like fun though.

I knew some people who took a motorized scooter to horse shows. They paid about $400 for it at a pawn shop.  I thought that was a pretty good idea.

I tried a scooter first.....Unfortunately, you can't carry anything on it (like a saddle) and it was hard for me to balance on and I nearly killed myself. (I'm not very good on two wheeled vehicles that go fast...lol) The cricket has a bed that folds out and I can put a bale of hay or a saddle, multiple buckets, etc. on the back of it and drive it right to my stall. It's perfect for old ladies like me. lol

I bought one at Youth World and it saved our lives.  I LOVE my cricket.  I have a 8 ft wide trailer with mangers and it fits in my stud stall.  I do have to take the back rack off  to get it in there.  It has plenty of power- I popped a wheelie in mine by accident!  lol  Very handy critter to have for sure.

How much do they cost? I googled but couldn't find prices. This sounds perfect for me, I have an electric scooter but it's too fast and squirrelly lol. I'm recovering from a brain injury so my husband worries about me having a scooter wreck. It would be awesome to be able to haul hay and other stuff too!

I think they are around 3500 new.  the back seat folds down into a bed so it can hold hay, tack, etc.

There's a girl on Facebook that lives in OK that sells them. Her name is April Mills Curry. Look them up. I bought mine at the World Show.

Thank you, I figured they were going to be too pricey for me right now. They sound awesome though, I will have to keep an eye out for a used one. Diane you aren't alone-my husband jokes about putting training wheels on my scooter so he doesn't have to worry about me as much. Those things have a mind of their own!

If you have FB Jennifer Carver has Scooters for sale with a platform on the back you can use for feed, hay or saddles. They are really cute.

You might Google Cricket ESV (electric service vehicles) We got ours from Ricks. We are on our 2nd cart. Our first one we had about 7 years I think and sold it to some friends and got a newer one. My husband added a removalable saddle rack. We have gotten a ton of use from ours!!
