I ran my gelding for the first time in 6 years last night and I can't even begin to describe how wonderful it felt!! I have struggled with a very subtle lameness that I could "feel" but no one could see... Hauled him to vets hours away, did this, tried that... nothing worked. Figured I would throw a set of pads on under his shoes as a last ditch effort as he has always been tender footed
(x-rays clear
) and he is sound! I'm working on legging him up and ran him for the first time last night... mind you it wasn't a race, I had been doing some slow work and figured I'd "see what happened" and he worked beautifully. Sorry, I just had to share, 6 yrs is a really really long time and I'd forgotten what it feels like to run a nice seasoned, finished horse!
