Six of the RG team will be there. I will have a breakfast meeting with Sherry C on the first morning. It doesn't get much better than that!
Are you going to have a booth anywhere? Any awesome specials like last year?

Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | BeanCounter - 2015-11-17 2:33 PM December 10-13th I am bringing my daughter who will be turning 15 the week before. It has been a long time since my husband and I have been. We are going strictly for the rodeo and shopping (not a big gambler). Can anyone suggest any other things during those dates to go and see? Any ropings or such happening?
not a cowboy thing, but Cirque d Soleil has a show at the Luxor, Criss Angel Believe, reasonable tivkets, think were going 1 night...

| 2nd thru 7th. Going mostly for the Rough Stock Sale and Futurity......and shopping, 'tho most of my shopping is the "window" kind. We went in 2006 and I got through 3 locations of shopping without spending much of anything, then at the very LAST booth we visited, I bought a saddle....that ended up not fitting horses I needed it to.
We attended a performance and we bought tickets at face value, from a stock contractor friend ($39 a seat, I think) in the upper section. We watched most of the rodeo on the jumbotron, and the seats were so crowded that I could not stretch out the Charlie horse that developed in my hamstring.....actually not a fun experience. We watched the next perf from our room. Also, there is NO break in the action, no intermission or acts, so not time for a bathroom or snack break I actually enjoyed the Rough Stock Sale more. Back then it was at the T&M, sparsely attended, casual and you could actually walk around and visit with people.
I do want to visit Fremont Street this time (have a friend that goes out later in the NFR and rarely leaves there and says she has a blast).
I know is has been posted before, but who knows of reasonably priced, GOOD food? Last time I was really looking forward to the cheap, scrumptious buffets that used to be in Vegas.....only they weren't cheap or all that good anymore. This time I would like to find the good places that the locals know about.

There is also a rodeo at the Orleans in the afternoons that second weekend. It is new this year I believe.

If you want good cheap(er) Mexican food hit up La Salsa cantina. There is one on the strip by the M&M factory and one at planet hollywood in the mall. There is also an awesome meatball place in there called "the meatball spot". its great just to grab a quick bite.
All the buffets are over priced, and I am NOT a buffet person so i dont think they are good at all.
Ive never eaten there, but I have heard everyone RAVE about Ellis Island and their BBQ and cheap food/drinks. Its behind Ballys sort of.

Location: Where I am happiest | You will LOVE Freemont Street! Such a fun fun experience. There is a place right there on Freemont Street that serves a great Prime Rib dinner for like $7. Prime Rib, baked potatoe, veggie, salad and rolls and it is great prime rib.

Could you PM me??? I'll be there with a friend on a tight budget, but I'm a foodie and want to eat good!!
Has anyone ate at Yolos in PH? I read they have a 13' margarita fountain I'm thinking I need to see in person!
I'll be working at MB and Sands shows (alternating days) if anyone wants to come by and say hello!

I second the Salsa cantina, but for their breakfast! Really nicely priced and a great layer to get me through till diner!! Not sure how their diner is, but I think we will go and try it out this year! Will be there from 8-12.
