linds - 2015-11-20 3:18 PM What kind of sick and twisted world exists where you can only own four bits?!?! I must never go there...
I think this is hilarious! I too agree-even after I made my 4 bit selection-I've been having a panic attack thinking that I should maybe change my choices-like it was some sort of test-even considered deleting my post just in case it came true!!
I don't want to live in a world where I can only have four bits. |

I don't want to live in a world where I can only have four bits. I'm with you guys, I could never have just 4 bits, I'm a horder of bits and anything else to do with tack. So thats why I havent listed any, but I do have a few favorite's like my Molly Powell large chain mouth piece, my 2 clover bits one is the chain and the other is the dog bone mouth, Sherry Cervi short shank dog bone, just to many for me to list just thinking about only 4 makes my head hurt, lol

The top four I love and would have listed, I don't even use on the horses I have right now (except the occasional standard smooth snaffle). They just ended up working better in different bits. One is trained as a reiner and just isn't as comfortable in anything but a solid small port. I run her in a small port (i think they call it a mullen mouth) butterfly freter. My gelding won't work as well for me in anything but an articulated correction bit... really?!?!?! It's got me scratching my head, but I've tried a whole trailer full of bits on both of them, and that's just what they like. |

I had to add to my list of favorits is the Sherry Cervi short shank dog bone, really like that bit. I also have another one dont know the name of it or if it even has a name, I will have to post a picture of it sometime and see if any body can tell me what the name of it is if it has a name, had it for over 17 years now and really like it.. |

Location: North Dakota | Single jointed smooth mouth snaffle, double jointed smooth mouth snaffle, a short shank curb with a myler or billy allen type mouthpice and...um...do hackamores count? Cause then I'd go with a good old sidepull. Otherwise probably something with a short shank and a little gag like the Prof choice futurity bits. Smooth mouth there as well. |
