Hero 2, motocross edition is excellent. You can buy a chest strap as a additional piece since I doubt your hubby wants to wear a helmet.

The one that my friend has, the person wanting filmed wears a wrist band.  The camera is on a tripod where ever you want filmed from.  It automatically zooms in and out and follows the person with the wrist band on.  He says it works really great.

The Hero 3's are actually alot better than the other models. Unless you are wanting to stream to your phone thru bluetooth you really wouldnt need the 4. We have two of the 3's and one 4. The chest piece isnt really good for roping, cant see over your horses head, and the head piece mounts fine on a ballcap, you dont have to wear a helmet. I have some videos I will attach.
We have the heeler wear one, set one on the score barrel, and the attach one to the fence.

I'd love to see some videos. He is wanting it for training purposes. There are not enough of us to rope, work the cattle and video.

No, I looked it up. Completely different brand. It would be so cool to film yourself working the pattern at home, etc. Heck, I could even use it at shows. Just have your kids take turns wearing the band!
It's around $600ish depending on the package.

I would thing that the solo shot would be better then the one mounted on your hat.  With the solo shot you can see your swing and delivery so much better.  Also would be able to see how your horse was working better

PS    Sorry I got the solo shot mixed up with the go thing.  My Bad
